At Downtown Dental Associates, our state-of-the-art technology includes an advanced data management system, digital radiographs, and more. Our team is skilled and uses their experience to drive their passion for excellent dental care. We’re conveniently located in the heart of Downtown Minneapolis, and will always do our best to schedule you in a timely manner.
Parking
Our staff and patients find that the light rail and bus are the most convenient way in and out of downtown. If driving, the TCF ramp is the closest to our office. Enter on 9th Street or 2nd Avenue. TCF customers making a transaction with the teller the day of their dental appointment, receive one hour validated parking in the TCF ramp. The Target ramp located on LaSalle between 9th and 10th Streets also validates an hour if you spend $25. The best bargains are at the open lots around 9th and 10th Street between 5th Avenue and 2nd Avenue. If parking at a meter, be aware of the signs noting limitations. They only accept quarters.
Our Philosophy
Our approach to dentistry and clinical decisions considers our patients' concerns, needs, and goals. Oral health assessments are presented with empathy and care. We work together with our patients to create treatment plans that consider their comfort and goals while focusing on preventative care and improvement of oral health.
Dr. Scott Koidahl
Dr. Scott Koidahl is a graduate of the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. He worked as a clinical intern at the University of Minnesota, where he received additional training. Prior to dental school, Dr. Koidahl graduated with a BS in Biology from the University of Minnesota Duluth.
Dr. Koidahl lives in South Minneapolis with his wife, Leslie. They have three grown sons who also live in Minneapolis. Outside of the office, Dr. Koidahl enjoys both playing and coaching sports, traveling, reading, movies, T.V. and spending time with his family.
Dr. Vy Truong
Dr. Truong completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Minnesota and later earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry.
Dr. Truong strives to create enjoyable dental experiences for patients. She helps her patients feel confident in their smiles to improve their quality of life.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Truong enjoys spending time with family and friends. In addition, she loves learning new cultures, languages and exploring new restaurants and food.
